We recommend starting 8 weeks before your intended visa appointment date.
On the Standard service, it takes approximately 6–8 weeks. With Fast Track, it takes around 10–12 business days.
By law, the Consulates have up to 3 months to process your application. Processing times are not guaranteed and may vary depending on your individual circumstances and the consular officer handling your application.
As a general guide only: • Edinburgh: approx. 4–5 weeks • London: approx. 6–8 weeks • Manchester: approx. 8–14 weeks
You can only attend an appointment at the Consulate covering your place of residence.
