Criminal Record Certificate (ACRO)
Apostilled & Translated for Your Spanish Visa
If you're applying for a Spanish visa—such as a Non-Lucrative Visa, Student Visa, Nomad Visa, or Golden Visa—you will need a criminal record check certificate, known in the UK as an ACRO.

What is an ACRO Criminal Record Certificate?

Applicants aged 18 and over must submit an original criminal record check from every country they have lived in for the past 5 years. For UK applicants, this is the ACRO Police Certificate.
To be accepted by the Spanish Consulate, the ACRO must be:
-
Apostilled by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO)
-
Officially translated into Spanish (by a sworn translator)
