Renew Your Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) in Spain

NLV Renewals

If you're living in Spain on a Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV), it's essential to renew your residency before your initial one-year permit expires. At GoSpain, we guide you through the entire NLV renewal process—from document preparation to submission—ensuring everything is done correctly and on time.

When to Renew Your Non-Lucrative Visa

You must renew your NLV within 60 days before or up to 90 days after your visa expires. However, we recommend starting the process 2,5 months in advance of the expiration of your TIE to avoid fines or legal issues.

What’s Required for NLV Renewal in Spain?

To renew your NLV, you will need:

  • Updated proof of sufficient funds (now covering two years, not one)

  • Private health insurance or a valid S1 certificate (if retired)

  • Empadronamiento (Padrón certificate) issued in the past 3 months

  • EX-01 renewal form

  • TASA 790-052 fee form

  • Copy of your valid passport

  • Copy of your TIE card (front and back)

We handle the completion of all required forms, provide a document checklist, and submit your application online.

To start the process please complete the application form.
